I don't think I can show you better proof than the eXceem "I got my free item" forum section. eXceem member regularly post here giving details of the latest free gift they have received. It is amazing the sheer amount of posts in this forum! I have posted a live time feed from the eXceem forum below, this shows the new threads as they appear on eXceem. The freebie market has proved so successful that even BBC Newsnight did a report on it. The site featured in the report is for free ipods but the principle is exactly the same.
